What Electrical Engineers Actually Do
Electrical engineering is the discipline of designing, analyzing, and maintaining systems that generate, transmit, distribute, and use electrical energy and electrical signals — spanning an enormous range from the high-voltage power grid delivering electricity to an entire city, down to the microscopic circuits inside a smartphone processor. Despite that huge range in scale, the underlying physics is shared: Ohm's law, circuit theory, electromagnetism, and signal behavior apply whether you're sizing a substation transformer or laying out traces on a printed circuit board.
