Many public-sector and large private clients in the UK, Europe, and increasingly the Middle East require ISO 19650 compliance on their projects, making the standard knowledge highly valuable.

ISO 19650 is the international standard for managing information about buildings and infrastructure using BIM. Parts 1 and 2 cover concept/principles and the delivery phase; Part 3 covers the operational phase. BIM Managers, information managers, project leads, and asset owners on projects using an ISO 19650-compliant workflow need to understand the EIR, BEP, CDE states, naming conventions, and LOIN requirements.

Dynamo is a visual programming tool integrated with Revit that allows automation of repetitive tasks — batch parameter editing, placing elements from data, renaming views, and generating parametric geometry. The BIM Manager ACP tests basic Dynamo concepts (nodes, lists, reading/writing parameters) and practical use cases. You do not need to write Python for the exam, but understanding node-based logic and common BIM automation use cases is essential.
