This module starts from the 802.11 standards family and the physical-layer basics that never change — CSMA/CA channel sharing, the frequency-versus-attenuation tradeoff across 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz — before moving into what each Wi-Fi generation actually added: OFDMA and Target Wake Time in Wi-Fi 6, the clean 6 GHz spectrum of Wi-Fi 6E, and Multi-Link Operation in Wi-Fi 7. From there it works through the RF link budget, access point placement and cell design, and how SSID count and VLAN mapping shape both airtime overhead and security segmentation.
The closing sections cover the two things that separate a design that looks correct on a floor plan from one that performs correctly once installed: fast roaming (802.11r/k/v) and WPA3 security, then the predictive, active, and passive site-survey methodology used to validate a design against real furniture, real building materials, and real RF interference — and to troubleshoot it when something in the field does not match the plan.
