What Keeps a Correct Network Design Correct After It Ships

This module steps back from the topology and sizing calculations in Modules 1-16 to the professional discipline that keeps a correctly designed network correct for years after it goes live: which standards (TIA/EIA-568, IEEE 802, IETF RFCs) actually govern a given design decision, why documentation drift is often more dangerous than no documentation at all, and how a formal Management of Change process with a real rollback plan keeps a network from silently drifting out of its documented, tested state.

From there it works through automated, version-controlled configuration backups and drift detection, the distinction between high-availability engineering and true disaster recovery (anchored by RTO/RPO and proven only by actually testing failover), capacity planning driven by utilization trend lines rather than reactive firefighting, EOL/EOS-driven asset lifecycle management as a security practice, and the turn-up testing and as-built handover discipline that gets a new network segment into operations cleanly.
