Each grid point must deliver at least −95 dBm inbound and outbound (DAQ 3.0). General building areas must pass at 90% (IFC) to 95% (NFPA), and critical areas such as fire command centers, exit stairs, and elevator lobbies must pass at 99% of the grid points.

How long must the DAS battery backup last?

A dedicated secondary power supply must run the entire system for a minimum of 12 hours, with some jurisdictions and NFPA 1225 requiring 24 hours. The BDA, monitoring, and the connection to the fire command center must also be protected by 2-hour fire-rated pathways.
