A full real-project case study: segmenting a manufacturing plant's network per the Purdue model and IEC 62443 zones and conduits.
This is the first of three real-project case studies in the program, applying Module 3's Purdue model and Module 7's IEC 62443 zones-and-conduits framework to a complete manufacturing facility — from Level 0 sensors and actuators on the plant floor through Level 3 site operations and the Industrial DMZ into the corporate network. The project works through assigning existing equipment to Purdue levels, defining zone boundaries and their target security levels, and specifying the conduits (and the controls on each conduit) that connect them.
This project assumes the concepts from Modules 3, 4, and 7 and applies them together the way a real segmentation project actually requires — as an integrated design exercise, not three separate checklists.
