Documentation & Resource Kit

The 12-template downloadable kit behind every document this program has referenced by name — design and pre-construction records, construction-phase field documents, and closeout documents — and how each one is actually used on a real project.

A civil or structural engineer's actual deliverable is rarely just a set of stamped calculations — it is the record proving a specific bearing-pressure check, rebar placement, or inspection result was verified deliberately, so a building official, a contractor, or the next engineer who touches the project can trust the work without re-deriving every decision from scratch. This module collects the twelve templates referenced throughout Modules 1 through 19 — a Structural Calculation Package Cover Sheet, a Load Calculation Summary Sheet, a Geotechnical Data Summary Sheet, a Submittal Log Template, an RFI Template, a Special Inspection Report Template, a Concrete Pour Checklist, a Foundation Inspection Checklist, a Rebar Schedule & Bill of Materials Template, a Change Order Template, a Punch List Template, and an As-Built Documentation Checklist — organized into three groups that follow a real project's timeline.

Each template is explained here in terms of what it is for and how it is actually used across this program's seven real projects, not reproduced as a blank form — the templates themselves are separate downloadable PDF files. Module 21's capstone assignment applies a working subset of this kit to a brand-new design problem.
