Swapping a part because it's the easiest thing to reach is a technician's move, not an engineer's. This module works nine real scenarios — an underperforming string traced to a failed bypass diode, ground fault nuisance tripping, inverter thermal derating, BESS cell imbalance, an EV charger not delivering rated power, a rapid shutdown device failure, arc-fault nuisance trips, potential induced degradation (PID), and anti-islanding nuisance tripping at the point of interconnection — each with at least two plausible causes that look identical from the outside and require a specific measurement, not a guess, to tell apart.

Every diagnosis in this module is checked directly against the commissioning baselines — IV curves, insulation resistance readings, rapid shutdown timing — that Module 16 establishes, which is exactly why commissioning documentation matters years after a system is already in service.
