Most fire alarm training jumps straight to devices and code sections. This module deliberately starts one level up: what a fire actually does as it progresses, why a fire alarm system's job splits into three distinct functions (detect, notify, control), and how NFPA 72, the IBC/IFC, and NFPA 70 stack on top of each other to govern a single design.
