For every major piece of equipment on a real HVAC project, this module walks through how it works, how it's built, where it fits, how to select it, what actually fails on it in the field, and what keeps it running — the same operating-principles-to-maintenance structure a working engineer applies to every equipment decision on a real project.

By the end of this module you should be able to look at a mechanical schedule and explain, for any listed piece of equipment, why that specific type was chosen over its alternatives — a two-pipe FCU versus four-pipe, a scroll compressor versus a screw compressor, a TXV versus an EEV — the exact judgment Module 10's project case studies expect you to already have.
