Module 15 · Construction & Installation

Construction & Installation

Foundation prep and grouting, precision shaft alignment and balancing, mechanical inspections, and commissioning through acceptance testing — how a design actually becomes an installed, verified machine.

A design engineer's world is drawings, tolerances, and calculations. This module covers the other half of the job: torque wrenches, dial indicators, laser alignment systems, and grout — the physical reality of getting a real machine to sit, run, and perform the way the drawing promised it would. A perfectly designed machine that gets set on an unprepared foundation or aligned carelessly will fail early regardless of how correct the calculations behind it were.

Real installations move through four sequential phases, and each one gates the next: foundation preparation and setting, precision alignment and balancing, mechanical inspection, and commissioning through acceptance testing. Skipping or reordering a step is one of the most common, and most expensive, mistakes on a real project.
