The project brief: a secondary-packaging cell that erects corrugated shipping cases, loads grouped product from an upstream cartoning machine, closes and hot-melt-glue-seals each case, and discharges to a downstream palletizer at 40 cases per minute. Nothing here works from a single discipline alone — the case erector depends on a correctly sized pneumatic cylinder, the pneumatic circuit depends on valves that fail safe rather than fail open, the PLC sequence depends on condition-based interlocks with equipment upstream and downstream, and the whole cell depends on a buffer conveyor sized to one specific, known interruption it doesn't control.
