Biometrics

This module compares fingerprint, facial, and iris recognition on real accuracy and deployment trade-offs, builds the False Accept Rate / False Reject Rate framework every threshold decision runs through, and treats enrollment, template storage, and regulatory compliance as core specification requirements, not footnotes.

By the end of this module you should be able to explain why a data center's main entrance and a cafeteria turnstile should not be tuned to the same FAR/FRR threshold, and why a biometric specification that skips consent and retention policy carries real legal exposure regardless of how good the sensor is — the same access-control integration Module 4 and Module 8's visitor management both connect back into.
