Module 18 · Real Project: School Security & Visitor Management System

School Security & Visitor Management System

A full worked K-12 school security design — single point of entry, visitor screening with watchlist checks, classroom lockdown capability, and common-area camera coverage.

This project works a real K-8 school through the specific design priorities K-12 security projects are actually built around — a two-stage vestibule single point of entry, a visitor management workflow with ID scanning and watchlist screening, and keyless classroom lockdown hardware paired with a centralized school-wide lockdown command.

It closes with a 28-camera common-area coverage plan that deliberately excludes classroom interiors, and how live camera access integrates with law enforcement's situational awareness during an active event.
