Real Project — a worked substantial-equivalence predicate comparison for a hypothetical Class II antimicrobial wound care dressing.

This project builds the substantial-equivalence comparison that anchors a 510(k) submission for a hypothetical Class II hydrocolloid wound care dressing that adds one new feature to an existing marketed product line: a silver-antimicrobial layer laminated into the hydrocolloid matrix to reduce bioburden at the wound-dressing interface.

It works through predicate selection and its legal rationale, a worked technological-characteristics comparison table, an analysis of where the added antimicrobial layer creates a technological difference that does — and does not — threaten substantial equivalence, and the resulting testing gap analysis spanning biocompatibility and antimicrobial efficacy that closes the difference with data rather than argument alone, directly applying the 510(k) framework built in Module 1.
