Every energy strategy in this program — economizer control, resets, demand response, load shedding — is only as credible as the metering data that proves it worked. This module covers where that data comes from: what to submeter and at what granularity, the real accuracy difference between a revenue-grade meter and a trending meter, and why the choice between pulse output and Modbus/BACnet register reads is a real engineering trade-off, not an implementation detail.
By the end of this module you should be able to explain why revenue-grade accuracy matters for tenant billing even when it wouldn't matter for internal trending, why a BTU meter's accuracy depends on temperature-sensor matching as much as flow measurement, and how a check meter's own accuracy determines whether it can actually win a billing dispute with the utility.
