This module covers the sensing layer feeding the digital twin, fault detection, and analytics systems built in the three preceding modules: how wireless sensor networks trade a wired point's reliability for retrofit-friendly installation flexibility, how a single multi-sensor device consolidates occupancy, temperature, humidity, CO2, and light into one enclosure, and the placement, calibration, and battery-maintenance discipline that keeps that sensor data trustworthy once it's deployed.
By the end of this module you should be able to choose the right wireless protocol for a given sensing scenario, spot a placement error that would quietly bias a control sequence, and explain how denser IoT sensor data feeds directly back into the FDD and analytics platforms covered earlier in this program.
